Questions

The five people ask most. Everything else is in the full list.

No. FabCV never invents an achievement, qualification or metric you did not have, and it will not write a line your resume does not support, not even as a suggestion. Where a job description asks for something your resume does not show, FabCV says so in a note above your result rather than filling the gap for you. If you do have that experience, add the details in the box provided and run it again, and it will be written from what you supplied. You should still read every result before you use it, because AI can phrase something in a way that implies more than you meant.
A Word document (.docx), ready to send. You can edit it freely in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or any similar tool. A Scorecard also comes as a Word report.
Most results are ready in 1 to 3 minutes. A Scorecard is usually the quickest, about a minute. You will see a progress indicator while your resume is being processed.
Your resume files are stored securely and are only used to generate your outputs. We never sell your data, never use it for marketing, and never share it with recruiters or employers. We do not use it to train AI models. You can delete your files, or your whole account, at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
If you have not used any credit from a pack, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of buying it. Once any credit from a pack has been used, that pack is not refundable. You are not charged for a generation that fails, and a double or wrong charge is refunded in full. The full details are in our Cancellation, Refunds and Delivery Policy.

We accept PDF and Word (.docx) files. For best results, upload a text-based PDF rather than a scanned image.

Credits and payment

You can create an account and explore the platform for free. Your first generation requires a credit pack purchase. The Starter pack gives you 100 credits, enough for a Resume Scorecard, an Improve and a Tailor, with credits to spare. Current prices are in the Pricing section.
No. The prices shown exclude GST. GST at the applicable rate is added at checkout, you see the total before you pay, and we issue a GST invoice for every purchase.
Starter credits can be used for 6 months from the date you buy them. Regular, Pro and Pro-Max credits can be used for 12 months. Unused credits expire after that.
They move to the new pack's expiry date, so nothing goes to waste. For example, you buy Starter on 1 January and still have 20 credits left in June, due to expire on 1 July. On 20 June you buy Regular, which runs 12 months to 20 June the following year. Your 20 leftover credits now also run to 20 June the following year. Credits are only ever extended, never shortened, and credits that have already expired cannot be brought back.
When you hold credits with different expiry dates, the ones closest to expiring are always used first.
Credits are only taken when a result is produced, so a failed generation costs you nothing. If credits were taken but you got no usable result, or you were charged twice, write to help@fabcv.com within 7 days and we will put it right.

Your data

Yes. To produce your output, your resume and the job description are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI service. By default, under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. Apart from the providers that run FabCV (Supabase, Vercel and Razorpay), nobody else receives your data.
You can delete any resume from your library at any time. To delete your whole account, open My Account in the app and choose Delete account. It takes effect 48 hours later, and you can cancel before then by signing back in. Unused credits are forfeited. We keep only the payment and GST records that the law requires.
